Bihar bagged a double by winning both the men and women titles in the Mina Patra Memorial 13th East Zone Ball-badminton Championship, which concluded here at Kalinga Stadium today. Host Odisha finished runners-up in men category after losing to Bihar in the final by 34-36 and 33-35.
In the women final, Bihar prevailed over West Bengal 35-24, 35-22. Odisha Sports Minister Sudar Marndi graced the closing function as chief guest and handed over the trophies. State Sports & Youth Services Director Anant Kishore Jena and All India Ball Badminton Association secretary Y Raja Rao were present on the occasion.
